In most situations, Legion's bloodlust will be capped at Bloodlust 1 and Bloodlust 6, although some effects may allow Legion to bypass these limits, accessing the powerful Bloodlust 0 and Bloodlust 7. Bloodlust is preserved between each combats. Usage of Blood of the Legion and Stoic Duty will allow Legion to raise and lower his bloodlust throughout each combat.
Legion begins each dungeon at Bloodlust 1. The Legion's unique mechanic, Bloodlust, enables him to be used as a gradual transformation class, shifting between the defensive and supportive Praetorio mode and the aggressive and reckless Centurio mode at ease.
With the lifeforce of his former legionnaires and comrades now bound eternally to him in the form of immortal wraiths and revenants, the Legion uses all the strength, cunning, and arrogance of an immortal to strike back against the beings that cursed him to eternal suffering. The Legion is a survivor of the past atrocities committed by the denizens of the Darkest Dungeon, having lived through the fall of his Empire through the dark sorcieries of a previous incarnation of the Necromancer.
